I will still be working on Operator and OS level tasks for another week. Been a slog but nearing the end. Still no new demos until this is cleared. This is my primary focus.
This week I will also get to finalizing the PCB testing from several weeks back. I have not touched this at all since the last time I mentioned it.
I’ve been speaking with some folks recently who expressed interest in a unit with a smaller footprint. Specifically, removing the 7 inch screen to cut the enclosure width in half. This is not a replacement, and is meant to be an alternative/additional configuration only. On device UI would run on a smaller 2inch screen, with a user’s mobile device picking up the slack for things that required more in-depth interactions. The existing rotary encoder/button will handle navigation and the full standard UI would still be accessible to any client. I don’t expect to have much movement on this for a bit, but wanted to put it out there now for people who may be interested. Feel free to reach out if so. Here are a couple of early prototypes of what the trimmed down on screen UI might look like:
